French toast in an ovenproof dish with red fruits

Ingredients [ Per 6 persone ]

12 slices of Spuntinelle Bianco Morato Pane
5 eggs (room temperature)
50g of granulated sugar
1/2 vanilla bean
400ml of whole milk
1 level spoon of cinnamon powder
50g of red fruits (blackberries, currants, raspberries)
powdered sugar for garnish
French toast in an ovenproof dish with red fruits

Method:

    Break the eggs into a bowl and beat them well, then add the milk, cinnamon and 1/2 vanilla bean.
  • 2
    Arrange the slices of Spuntinelle in a medium-sized baking dish, overlapping them slightly. Using a ladle, wet all the slices well with the egg and milk mixture.

    Add the red fruits on top and bake for about 20 minutes. Once ready, garnish with plenty of icing sugar and serve.
